Arthur S. Tozar

Combat Medic, WW2

Arthur S. Tozar was one of the first enlisted men to be assigned on orders to the Medical Detachment, 16th Infantry, located at Fort Jay, Governor's Island, New York. He participated in 3 invasions and all 8 campaigns in World War Two. He was awarded many Medals and Awards, among them are 2 Bronze Stars. Sadly he passed away at the beginning of 1997. In order to pay tribute to a great American Soldier it was decided that the museum would be named after him.
